PATTERNS & TEXTURES OF TURKEY

I'm working on my new series from my recent trip to Turkey. Not sure I'm quite done with these two. I'm interested in exploring the idea of looking through things I saw...arches, doorways, ancient roads and walkways. Do I need a gestural figure in the doorway? Or am I getting the feeling I strive for. Yet to be decided.

LEAVES & OTHER MOLDY STUFF

In the past few days I've been looking at leaves from the past season that have been laying around for quite some time now. They have a moldy patina that's inspired me to work wet-in-wet on gnarly watercolor paper. The paint kind of does its own fascinating thing. So now I'm taking the technique on to rocks...one of my favorite subjects.
