Contrary Journey is a new beginning for me, so it’s a special piece that’s not for sale, but I wanted to share it with you. I was looking for ways to add dimension & texture to my work. Working with yarns has provided a nurturing and textural way for me to endure the Covid-19 quarantine. This soft piece is about the contrast of confusion and caring that took place simultaneously as we settled into navigating the coronavirus. Did you notice the yarn made from plastic bags in the middle? I'm looking for ways to incorporate more recycled packaging without compromising the beauty of my art. 

The materials are yarn, latch hook canvas and bit of recycled plastic bags.
Methods I used were latching (rug hooking), crochet and wool felting.
