This is one of my favorite travel paintings. Inishmore Island is a magical place sitting on the edge of the North Atlantic Ocean and frozen in time. On our hike back from The Black Fort we chatted with an elderly gentleman who'd lived there most of his life. He disarmed us with his smile and expressive curse "You people come over here to see this island, but it's just a pile a rocks!" Well, they were pretty enough to paint.
